Zwischen Uns Between Us” works by students and and master-class students of Hans Peter Adamski.
A group exhibition showing works by Christoph Grabe, Viktoria Graf, Lotte Hauss, Levke Leiß and Karla Hecker, as well as Clemens Tremmel.
“Zwischen Uns Between Us” is an exhibition uniting works by six young artists studying in the class of Hans Peter Adamski at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Lotte Hauss, Karla Hecker and Levke Leiß are former master students of professor and painter Hans Peter Adamski. Viktoria Graf is a current master-class student, while Christoph Grabe and Clemens Tremmel will commence their master-classes in the near future. Although sharing the same educational background, their works’ main commonality is the difference between them/their works display a surprising amount of difference between them.
The artists’ personal creative handwriting permeates each and every single one of the chosen works to an astonishing degree, thereby hiding from the viewer’s eye the fact that they share a common background. “Zwischen Uns Between Us” gives us the quest for artistic and creative answers by six unique artists, each one coming to different artistic conclusions. The viewer is cordially invited to trace the intertwining paths of tradition and personal discoveries that lead from student to master student.

*Zufallstreffer - Aurélien Tristan Bonnetain and the Storytellers*
February 28 - March 3, 2012/ Epicentro art
*We proudly invite you to "Zufallstreffer - Aurélien Tristan Bonnetain and
the Storytellers", the first solo show of Berlin based, french illustrator
and graphic artist Aurélien Tristan Bonnetain. Zufallstreffer shows eleven
drawings and eleven short stories by international storytellers.*
Aurélien Tristan Bonnetain’s small-scaled, two-dimensional pencil drawings
are produced on postcard-sized note sheets; they form figures, shapes and
surfaces with simple lines. In this experimental field of thought emerging
from incidental shapes and figures that the artist links to memories and
stories and that he spontaneously tells on paper, the outcome remains open
until the end. The drawings are to be understood as lyrical, casual and
innocent acts, they tell a story of coincidence, a story about dealing with
the unplanned, the unexpected.
Miniature giants, entangled bodies, pseudo-phalli, flying vaginas, bones,
crutches and columns, labyrinths, monsters, inhuman and decorative shapes
lead the viewer through a dreamy constructed world. He loses himself in it,
walks, balances, falls, jumps and moves in curios situations. Shapes,
figures and a repertoire of stories of this microcosm are simply limitless.
The storytellers tell one possible of many imaginable stories.
Zufallstreffer Aurélien Tristan Bonnetain and the Storytellers runs from
February 24 to 25, 2012 in Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien (Studio I) and
from February 28 to March 3 in Epicentro art.
